The many lessons my dogs teach me…

“Dogs are our link to paradise. They don’t know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring–it was peace.”  ~Milan Kundera

I am grateful for these lil angels, my doggies Charli and Sho-che. They have taught me so much about love. They teach me that love isn’t selfish. That love accepts. They do what they do and never compromise who they are or how they feel. And when they are not happy… They let me know. And no matter what… they always love me. They always show me their love. They always pause and greet me whenever we reconnect in a room.

They offer me so many lessons. They remind me to pause and not to take the “lil things for granted.” They remind me pause and greet.

They remind me of ” namaste”

Charli is more the passive-aggressive type. He feels like a really old soul. Our connection feels ancient. He is very in tune with people and seeks to bring comfort when he detects sadness or any kind of strong emotion. When he cuddles with me, it feels like a soft lil bunny rabbit.

Sho-Che must have been the Queen of the Jungle in a past life… cause she always has to have the last word. She never backs down and never hesitates to express how she feels. She is also very protective of me and if “mama” is around… All she wants is to be on my lap…

Charli teaches me to be present. To Slow Down. He teaches me that there is always time for play time. He teaches me to get out more, take more tech breaks and to be present with me and everyone one around me.

Sho-che’ reminds me that its ok to use my voice. That sometimes a person needs to growl, get angry, or simply roar (harm none). She has shown me a very gentle side of love, one that is so tender and sweet and nurturing. When she cuddles with me, it is one of the best feelings in the world.

They both teach me that love wants the best outcome in the most benevolent way. Charli is 9 (almost 10) and Sho-che is 7. I am so grateful to have them in my life. I love you charli and sho-che’ and I am forever grateful for your presence and your “mastery of love” and being in my life.
